    Hi Troy, Try turning on the HDMI monitor. That should fix it.

    Hi,

    I'm getting the same issue but my Macbook is not plugged into any monitor and the lid is closed. Any suggestions on a fix?

    Thanks!

    Jesse

    I'm getting the same problem. Remote laptop does not have a monitor connected. The lid is closed.

    MacOS Ventura 13.0 to MacOS Ventura 13.0.

    Jump Desktop v8.8.28 -> Jump Desktop Connect (downloaded 2022-11-07 can't find a version)

    Any thoughts on how to stop this behavior?

    Update: The behavior stops if I leave the lid open.  The desire / need is for the laptop lid to remain closed.   Leaving the lid open is not a long term option.

    FYI - Found the following pair of messages in the system.log of the remote machine for every occurrence of a black screen.  Seems to suggest that the laptop is constantly going to sleep and waking. Occurs whether I'm actively using the remote laptop or not.  I've tried fiddling with sleep settings but haven't found any changes or combinations that have been helpful.   My thought: Jump Desktop Connect is not doing what it needs to due to keep the laptop awake on Ventura.

    Hi, I face a similar problem.

    I execute the following command and the problem no longer occurs because the Macbook no longer sleeps when the lid is closed.

    $ sudo pmset -a disablesleep 1

    I hope this will be helpful to you.
