how can I tell if Jump is using my LAN or a relay?
I am using both my Mac and iPad to connect to Windows 10 hosts. The performance is excellent and I love Jump but I just want to make sure my setup is performing optimally. When I am logged into one of the machines and I look at the tray icon to see who is logged in, the information under the user shows my public IP as the address and Cloud as the type. I changed from the name to the IP for one of the Windows machines and was able to connect fine, which of course would only work over a local network, and the IP and type didn't change. Is there any way for me to make sure that Jump is connecting over my LAN and not through the Jump relay servers?

Did you check this out: Cloudless Fluid – Jump Desktop Support.
Looks like you have to have a Teams account?

I have the excat same question as Todd. No matter how I connect it always says Type: Cloud from my Mac to my Windows machine (same lan connection) using Fluid which is extremely confusing.
I really do hope this doesn't mean we have to pay a monthly subscriptions to Teams just to get local connections.

Please take a look at this: https://changelog.jumpdesktop.com/live-performance-stats-for-fluid-1i0Xte . Look at the 'Connection' parameter here - it should say "Direct" or "Relayed". If it's Direct it means that Jump is connecting directly to the machine over the LAN or over your Internal. "Relayed" means it is using one of our relay servers.
@Rob - "Connection Type" - "Cloud" <-- this means the connection was initiated through the cloud service. All connections are brokered through our cloud service unless you're using cloudless fluid. Once a connection is initiated through the cloud, Jump will then try to connect to the machine directly or through a relay.

@Jump Desktop Support - Thank you so much for the reply as this makes things a lot more clearer.
Using the Stats panel info my connection from my Macbook to my Mac Mini says' Direct, but my Windows machine says Relay even though they are on the same network and wired to the same unmanaged switch. Would you have any idea why this would be the case? Only using default built-in Windows firewall settings.
UPDATE : I'm gussing Windows Firewall / Public Network was blocking the connection and reinstalling the Jump Desktop Connect app for Windows 11 seems to have resolved the issue :-)
