Mac: What should I enter in the Mac Credentials dialog?

When connecting to a Mac you may be prompted to enter your Mac Credentials. You should enter the same username and password you use to log onto your Mac when you turn it on (this is not your Gmail or Jump Desktop Account password). To find out what your  Mac' username is follow these steps on your Mac:

1. Open up the Terminal app.
2. Type the following in and press enter: whoami
3. The above command will output the username you need to enter into the Mac Credentials prompt. Use this user name along with your Mac's password to connect when Jump prompts you for your Mac Credentials.

Note: If you don't use a password to log into to your Mac, then you won't be able to log in remotely. Please make sure your Mac user account has a password assigned to it by opening the Users & Groups system preferences.
