Issues with Jump Desktop on Memorial Day Laptop Purchase
Hi everyone,
I hope you're all doing well. I recently purchased a new laptop during the Memorial Day sale and I've been really excited to set everything up. However, I've run into some issues with Jump Desktop and I was hoping someone here could help me out.
Here's the situation:
Laptop Specs: My new laptop is with [Intel Core i7-12700H processor], [16GB of RAM, and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti graphics card. It runs on Windows 11
Installation: I successfully installed Jump Desktop from the official website and followed all the setup instructions.
Issue: When I try to connect to my remote desktop, the connection either fails or it connects but is extremely laggy and unresponsive. I've tried both the Fluid and RDP protocols but the problem persists with both.
Troubleshooting Steps:
Checked my internet connection.
Updated all drivers and Windows to the latest versions.
Disabled firewall and antivirus temporarily to see if they were causing the issue.
Ensured that the remote desktop is also updated and properly configured.
Despite all these efforts, the performance issue remains. My previous laptop, which had lower specs, didn't have these problems with Jump Desktop, so I'm quite puzzled.
Has anyone else experienced similar issues with a new laptop? Are there any specific settings or configurations I might be missing? Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance for your help!
Best regards,
Steve
