Want early access to the latest features in Jump Desktop? By joining our beta program, you’ll be among the first to try out new updates and provide feedback that helps us refine the app. Here’s how to enable beta updates on Mac, Windows, iOS, and Jump Desktop Connect.
Warning: Beta versions may contain experimental features and improvements, but they can also include bugs or incomplete functionality. We recommend using beta versions only if you’re comfortable with potential issues and willing to provide feedback
Jump Desktop for Mac Beta
- Open Jump Desktop.
- Go to Jump Desktop > Preferences > General.
- Enable Check For Beta Updates.
- Then, click Jump Desktop > Check For Updates.
Note: If you don’t see the Check for Beta Updates option, download the web version of Jump Desktop for Mac here.
Jump Desktop for Windows Beta
- Open Jump Desktop for Windows.
- Go to File > Settings > Updates.
- Enable the Beta Updates checkbox.
- Click Check for Updates.
Jump Desktop for iOS Beta
- Email us at support@jumpdesktop.com.
- Mention that you’d like to be included in the TestFlight iOS Public Betas.
Jump Desktop Connect Beta
Most beta features require the latest Jump Desktop Connect app on host machines.
For Jump Desktop Teams Users:
- Create a new Connect Setting in your Team dashboard.
- Set the Update Channel to Beta.
- Assign this setting to the machines you’d like to include in the beta program.
Note: It may take up to 6 hours for the initial beta update to deploy to machines.
For non-Teams Users:
- Open Jump Desktop Connect on the host machine.
- Go to Settings > Updates.
- Enable Beta updates.
- Click Check for updates.
