Mac: Apps hanging when using copy paste keyboard shorcuts

If you're experiencing apps hanging when copying / pasting contents on a remote Mac machine, it might be because of macOS Universal clipboard syncing feature. To workaround this turn off Handoff on the remote Mac:

System Preferences -> General -> UNCHECK Allow Handoff between Macs

    How can you make both work properly? Meaning without to disable the handoff?

    This isn't a solution. I need handoff for when I'm not using the computer remote. What's the solution here?
